Welcome

I am Gerlinde Theunissen, a researcher in Behavioral Science with a PhD from the University of Konstanz, the Department of Political Science and Administration, and the Cluster of Excellence 'The Politics of Inequality'.

My work in political behavior relates to contexts and how people draw information from their daily experiences in their geographic and social environments and neighborhoods.

As a computational social scientist, I use spatial analyses and spatial data such as satellite imagery to approximate living conditions on the ground and combine these with survey and registry data. Focusing on valid research designs and causal inference, I employ various methods and models.

I mainly program in R, Python, and SQL.
